This temple is at Mannambatta in Sreekrishnapuram of Palakkad district. This temple is different from all other Subrahmanya Swamy temples. Balamuruga is the main deity consecrated here. According to legends, this temple was established by sages in the ancient past. In those days, devotees used to worship Sree Krishna also in the consecration of Subrahmanya. Hence, after an astrological consultation, Sree Krishna was consecrated as a subordinate deity. Devotees believe that worshipping at the temple for 41 days at a stretch would bring fame in the fields of arts, education and prosperity to the family.
