This temple is at Payyavu, in Idukki. This is
more than 150 years old. It was renovated 15 years ago. The temple is open only once a year, as instructed by astrological consultations. This is on the day of Hanuman
Jayanti, and it is celebrated as the Lord's festival. Lord Hanuman is
seated under a forest tree. The temple is overgrown by a betel climber. Navaka
panchagavya kalasham is also conducted every year. The tree under which the
Lord is seated flowers in the month of Karkidakam and during the time of Onam
in the month of Chingam. Though pujas are performed only
more
on one day in a year,
devotees can light lamps and offer fruits any day.
