This temple is at Nedumuttam, Thodupuzha, in Idukki district. The people of Anjakulam have been protecting the ‘kavu’ around their place as sacred from time immemorial. But later, the forest was cleared, and the kavu was destroyed. By the time plans were made to restore the kavu, what was left were only three trees of about 1000 cm radius for the trunk and 40 m. in height. Many broken pieces of idols and remains of temples were found in this place. Restoration was started around 45 years ago. Today, there remains only one of the three trees that is more than a more thousand years old. The devotees worship this tree. Ganapathy, Anthimahakalan, Adhilayakshi, Vellombhagavathy, Shasthaav, as well as Nagaraja and Nagayakshi are consecrated as subordinate deities. Karukamala, Appam Mootal, Choondal Nivedyam, Modaka nivedyam and Ashtadravya Maha Ganapathy Homam are the main offerings for Ganapathy. Mruthyunjaya Pushpanjali and Koottu payasam are offered to Anthimahakalan, Thaampoola samrpanam for relief from diseases, and offering of silk cloth for a happy marriage are made to Adhilayakshy. Offering of tender coconut and archana with kumkumam are made for Vellombhagavathy. Neeranjanam and gingelly sweet dishes are offered to Sastha. The temple is under Anjakulam Devaswam Trust.
