This temple is at Odakkali, on the banks of a small river flowing between Maanaamkunnu and Koyilokunnu. It is in Thamarassery village, Payyoli, Melady in Kozhikode district. The temple is open only on Tuesdays and Fridays. According to legends, Odakkaliyamma was worshipped in the house of a Namboothiri family in ancient times. When proper worship was not offered later on, the Goddess left the house and came to Karimbillikavu. This place was the centre of Shaktheya worship. The Goddess was not interested in that form of worship. She found a man of extraordinary effulgence and sat on his palm umbrella. Thus, she reached the place where more the temple is situated at present. The Koula form of worship is followed here. Roosters are offered to the Goddess at this temple.
