This temple is in Airapuram, Ernakulam
district. The main deity is Lord Siva, in his gentle form, consecrated facing
the east. Serpents are given a special place in this temple, and poojas are
conducted for them on the day of star Aayilyam every month. Special rites are
performed for the departed ancestors, especially on the day of Sivarathri and
the no moon day in the month of Karkadakam.
