Sree Poilath Siva Temple is located at Vavanoor and is a traditional Kerala-style Siva temple believed to be over 3,000 years old. The presiding deity is Lord Siva. Within the temple complex, Ganapathy and Mahavishnu are worshipped as sub-deities, while Sastha and the Nagas are installed outside the temple complex. Daily poojas are conducted in the morning and evening. Maha Sivarathri is the most important festival celebrated here and is organised by the temple committee with great devotion and grandeur.
