Sree Ayyappa Temple in Anachal,
Idukki, is a prominent shrine with a history spanning over 60 years. Deeply
cherished by the local community, the temple is dedicated to Lord Ayyappa and
upholds long-standing traditions. Its annual festival, Thiruvutsavam, is a
major celebration marked by devotion and cultural significance. A notable
spiritual belief associated with the temple is the sighting of a Brahminy kite
(Krishnaparunth) flying over the temple during the festival. This is considered
a highly auspicious sign, reminiscent of the divine tradition observed at the
Sabarimala Temple.
