The temple is approximately 1km away from Nannaattukavu Junction in Vembayam Panchayath, Thiruvananthapuram District. Apart from Mahadeva, Devi and other subordinate deities are also consecrated. The temple is managed by a temple trust. There is a huge pond near the temple. There is an auditorium named Thiruvathira and a hall used as a dining hall. Many functions, like marriages, are conducted here. There is also a sports and arts society named Pulimathor Sree Mahadeva Kayika Kalaakshethra, giving training in temple arts like Panchari melam. The temple is open for worship on all days in the morning and in the evening. Special pujas are offered on
more the 1st of every Malayalam month and some other auspicious days. The annual festival is connected with Shivarathri.
