Varattuchira Kochumandakkadu Devi Temple, located in Keralapuram village of Kollam district, Kerala, is an ancient and revered shrine dedicated to Goddess Durga, also known as Devi. Believed to be over a thousand years old, the temple stands as a fine example of architectural harmony, blending the elegance of traditional Kerala design with distinctive Tamil and Dravidian influences. The temple’s grand annual festival, Varattu Mahotsavam, celebrated during the Malayalam month of Meenam (March–April), is a major spiritual and cultural event in the region.
