Nellikkakkunnu Devi Temple, situated at Veliyannoor on the Pala-Koothattukulam road in Kottayam district, is a sacred shrine dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy, along with other deities. It
is regarded as one of the 108 renowned Durga temples in Kerala. True to its
name, the temple is situated atop a small hill (kunnu). The presiding deity is
believed to be a fierce form of Goddess Kali. While the temple remains peaceful
and uncrowded on most days, Tuesdays and Fridays hold special significance, attracting a greater number of devotees.
