This temple is at Alancherry, Anchal in Kollam District. It is known that many centuries ago, there was a Bhajana Madam at the place where the temple stands today. People used to light a lamp and hold prayers there and also celebrate the Chirapp during the month of Vrichikam. An ascetic used to be there at the Bhajana Madam. He realised the divinity of the place and contributed an idol of Sree Krishna to be kept and worshipped there. He told the people about the sanctity of the place and predicted that it would become a famous temple one day. Accordingly, the prominent members of the
more locality held an astrological consultation, and it was revealed that what the ascetic had predicted was true. It was shown that it was a temple dedicated to Radhamadhava, a form of Lord Sree Krishna that stood at this place in ancient times. With the support of the devotees, a temple for Sree Radhamadhava was built here thirty years ago under the Thanthri of Sabarimala.
