Located at Vyttila in Kochi,
Ernakulam district, the Sree Pallithrikovil Durga Bhagavathy Temple is an
ancient shrine believed to be around 1,000 years old. The presiding deity is
Goddess Durga, while Lord Siva, Lord Ganapathy, the Serpent Gods (Sarppangal),
and Rakshasas are worshipped as sub-deities. The temple’s major annual festival
is celebrated in the Malayalam month of Vrischikam (November–December), drawing
large numbers of devotees. The administration and upkeep of the temple are
managed by the Sree Pallithrikovil Durga Bhagavathy Temple Trust.
