This ancient Siva temple of the erstwhile Valluvanadu is at Kongadu Challikkal in Palakkad district. It is attached to the Kongadu Thirumandhaamkunnu temple. Lord Siva with Goddess Parvathy is consecrated in the main sanctum facing the east. Two pujas are offered every day. The temple is believed to be more than a thousand years old. There is a plaque in Vattezhuthth under the step to the sanctum. It has a round sanctum, and the other structures found in Kerala temples. There is another sanctum close to it where the idol of Mahadeva was consecrated in 1835. The sanctum was left open to the skies till
more 1950, when it was built. The temple is under the Malabar Devaswam Board with a committee of devotees to help in the administration.
