Maniyur Sreekrishna Temple is located at Chekkikulam in Kozhikode district and is believed to be over 1,000 years old. This ancient shrine is dedicated exclusively to Lord Krishna, with no other deities worshipped here. At present, the temple lies in a dilapidated state. Regular poojas are no longer conducted, and the sanctum does not even house idols. The temple compound, once a sacred space, is now overgrown with plants and trees due to a lack of maintenance. The walls and boundary structures are badly damaged, with roots and branches sprouting through the stonework. Surrounded by large trees, the site retains an air of antiquity and forgotten grandeur. more A small well can still be seen near the temple, hinting at its once-active role in temple rituals. The temple stands opposite the Maniyoor Sree Subrahmanya Swamy Temple, serving as a silent reminder of a glorious past now faded with time.
