This temple is located in Thalassery, Kannur district. The temple has a rich history associated with Pazhassi Raja and his resistance against the British. While the exact date of construction is unknown, it is believed to be over 2000 years old. It has great architectural value, also. It is known for the murals. The Department of Archaeology protects the temple. After an astrological consultation, the consecration in the Balalaya for the Siva temple to be reconstructed was performed on May 6, 2009.
