Located in Nediyiruppu village of Kondotty Taluk in Malappuram district, Poyilikkavu Sree Karinkali Temple is one of the oldest temples in the Eranad (Malabar) region, with a history spanning over 2000 years. The temple is owned by the Valiya Thamburatti Devaswom of Kottakkal Kizhakke Kovilakam, part of the Kozhikode Zamorin dynasty. Devotees from distant towns and villages visit this sacred shrine to offer prayers, especially on Tuesdays, Fridays, Sundays, and public holidays. The temple's prominent festival, Mandalakalam, begins on the first day of the Malayalam month Vrichikam and continues for 41 days, culminating in the grand Thalapoli Mahotsavam.
