Elavathukkal Temple, located
in Nagalassery village of Palakkad district, Kerala, is believed to have a
history of over 500 years. Situated approximately 6 km south of Thrithala and 3
km east of Koottanad, the temple once served as a central hub for traditional
nattukuttam (village assemblies) in ancient times. Historically, the temple was
under the administration of the local Naduvazhi (chieftain). Today, its
management is overseen by the Palleri family, who continue to uphold the
temple's traditions and heritage.
