Sree Kalichanamma Devasthanam is a revered temple located at Achamthuruthi, Cheruvathur, in the Kasaragod district of Kerala. The presiding deity of this temple is Kalichanamma, and the shrine is also known as Sree Palichon Devasthanam, dedicated to Palichon Daivam. Situated on the scenic Achamthuruthi Island, the temple is renowned for its vibrant Theyyam performances. Major Theyyams performed here include Palichon Daivam Theyyam, Karikkalon Devan, Pulapottan, and Pola Chamundi, each deeply rooted in the local spiritual traditions. The temple features a chathura sreekovil (square sanctum sanctorum) for the main deity. In addition, several deities are worshipped under sacred trees or atop small, square platforms. There are also other small
more sanctums built in a similar style for various deities. Significant rituals and pujas are conducted on Sankranti day, following the Malayalam calendar. These ceremonies attract devotees from surrounding areas who come to seek blessings and participate in the traditional observances.
