This temple is at Panamanna in
Ottapalam district. The worship of Lord Sankaranarayana started when there was
a mixing of the Shaiva and Vaishnava sects after the Aryans came here. It is a rare
temple with 5 pujas, 3 seevelis and Navakam performed every day. Though the
main consecration is a self-originated Sivalinga, worship is performed for Vishnu.
Hence, it is known as Sankaranaryanaswami.
Ganapathy, Shasthav, Serpents and Brahmarakshas are the subordinate
deities. The temple is under the Samoothiri Raja of Kozhikode.
