This temple is at Chelannoor village in Kozhikode district. It is just opposite the Chelannoor Block office. The temple was in a horrible state at one time. The efforts of Kuttiyatt Vasudevan Namboothiripad revived it. Goddess Thripurasundari is the main deity consecrated here. As the rites of worship here follow the Sree Vidya system, Chamundi, Bhadrakali, Kuttichathan, Ayyappan, Vetteykkorumakan, Dakshinamoorthy and Bhairavan are also consecrated here. There are many stories of the direct intervention of Kuttichathan consecrated here, not only in the past but also in the present day. The original place of Kuttichathan is 500 meters away from the temple. As the rites performed more here are special, only the members of Kuttiyatt illam are allowed to perform the poojas here. Poojas are performed to remove obstacles in marriage, for the welfare of children, for better education, for prevention of the ill effects caused by unseen powers and serpents and for mental illnesses.
