This temple is located on the banks of Vellayani Lake at Ookkodu village, approximately 5 km from Nemaom, in Thiruvananthapuram district. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. There are separate shrines for Lord Ganesh, Devi, Sree Dharma Shastha and Nagaraja. According to legends, this temple is more than 400 years old. Brahmins used to run a school for the Veda here, and they would worship the Devi here. The temple has the old type of roof, which shows signs of age. The temple was taken over by the Travancore Devaswom Board. With the support of the local devotees, the Board is
more undertaking renovation of the old roof. The seven-day festival with a grand procession on the final day is held in January. Near this temple are some famous temples like Nemom Sree Mahadeva temple, Nemom Ganapathy temple and Sree Krishna Swamy temple.
