This centuries-old temple is located in Perinthalmanna. This is the second biggest temple in the Malappuram district. It is under the Archaeological Department, and renovation work has been undertaken. Today, there are three trustees: Perumana, Palolli mana and Mundekatt mana. There are two consecrations of Muruga. Balamuruga is consecrated outside, and Subrahmanya, after destroying Tharakasura, is consecrated inside. Siva and Mahavishnu are also consecrated on either side. Mahavishnu is consecrated in the form in which he appeared before Devaki and Vasudevar in the prison.
