Established in 1930, the
Kulappuram Ayyappankavu Temple holds a rich history of devotion and communal
harmony. In 1964, Kunjan Swami from Ernakulam donated a Panchaloha (five-metal)
idol of Lord Ayyappa, which was ceremoniously installed in the temple.
Additionally, Vattathil Ramankutty generously contributed 10 cents of land for
its construction. The temple underwent a major renovation in 2003 and remains
open to all, welcoming devotees regardless of caste or religion. Lord Ayyappa
is worshipped here as Sabarimala Sastha, facing east, making it a
significant place of spiritual reverence.
