Thrikkulam Siva Temple, also
known as Alamballam Thrikkulam Sree Siva Temple, is a centuries-old Hindu
shrine dedicated to Lord Siva. It is located in Kalepully, near Palakkad in
Kerala. Steeped in history, the temple is believed to have been destroyed
during the invasions of Tipu Sultan, along with the surrounding settlement that
once thrived in the area. Despite its turbulent past, the temple remains a
revered place of worship. It hosts several significant festivals, the most
prominent being Brahmotsavam, celebrated in the Malayalam month of Edavam
(May–June). Another major event is the eight-day Mahashivaratri festival in Kumbham (February–March), which draws devotees from across the region.
