This temple is at Poochakkal in Alapuzha district. It is 103 years old. There were many low deities consecrated in this temple. Sree Narayana Guru made his disciple Narasimham Swami remove all those idols. In 1097, Gurudevan himself consecrated Lord Siva there. The idol is 6 feet tall. It was revealed that there was an idol in a pond at Vaikom. It was so big that 10 – 12 people had to carry it. At first, the temple was owned by a Christian family. So, the soul of the eldest member of the Christian family who had been worshipping the effulgence there also joined the
more idol consecrated by Sree Narayana Guru. This is the only temple in Kerala where candles are lit under the Palm tree.
