Located just 1 km from
Edapally Toll Junction in Ernakulam district, the Vattekkunnam Puthupallipram
Sree Subramaniya Temple is believed to be around 100 years old. The temple is
dedicated to Lord Subrahmanya as the principal deity, with Ganapathy,
Bhadrakali, and Nagadaivangal consecrated as subordinate deities. Tuesdays hold
special significance for devotees, and the temple's annual festival is a grand
six-day event culminating on the Pooyam star in the month of Kumbham. The Vattekunnam manages the temple–Puthuppallypuram Pulaya Maha Sabha, with
representatives from both regions overseeing its administration.
