This temple is near Varkala in Thiruvananthapuram district. It is an ancient temple which was made in its present form only 15 years ago. Aikkaravila family had worshipped a Mankomb naming the place Moorthymadom. About 15 years ago it was revealed in an astrological consultation that the effulgence of Lord Siva was present there and the temple was constructed and Lord Siva consecrated here. The Aikkaravila family looks after the temple.
