This
ancient temple with a history of more than a thousand years is unique with the Shadadhara
Prathishta of Lord Murugan represented as holding a sprig of paddy and a torch.
It is situated at Thazhakara, Mavelikara in Alapuzha District. Lord Muruga here
is believed to be the custodian of wealth. Devotees visit the temple in great numbers
on the day of Shashti seeking relief from physical and mental ailments. The
