History

Eyyal Karthyayani Temple, an ancient shrine dedicated to Durga Devi, is located near the roadside in Eyyal, along the Pannithadam - Kecheri Road in Thrissur District. This temple is one of the revered 108 Durgalayas and also houses the deities Ganapati, Ayyappan, Bhadrakali, and Shiva. The temple’s most significant festival is the Karthika Aarat Mahotsavam, which draws numerous devotees.
