Raamanthali Sree
Sankaranarayana Temple, located in Ramanthali, Kannur district, Kerala, is the
northernmost Tali temple in the state. The temple is dedicated to Lord
Shankaranarayana, a unique deity embodying both Vishnu and Shiva Vishnu on the
left side of the murti and Shiva on the right. Initially owned by the Kodiyam,
Puzhukkunadu, and Kambungadu Nambiar families, along with Koyithatta Pothuval,
the temple later came under the administration of Taliyil Thirumumbu.
Inscriptions dating back to 928 and 1132 CE have been
discovered at the site, highlighting its historical significance.
