Located in Pallamturuth
village, Parur Taluk, in Ernakulam district, the Erandathara Nagaraja
Yakshiamma Subrahmanya Swami Temple holds great spiritual significance. Both
Nagaraja and Yakshiamma are revered with equal devotion here. The temple also
enshrines Upadevatas (sub-deities) such as Lord Murugan, Rakshas, and Hidumban.
Devotees visit this sacred site seeking blessings for marital harmony, progeny,
academic success, and relief from Sarpa Doshams (serpent-related afflictions).
The temple's Prathishta Mahotsavam (installation festival) is celebrated
annually on Medom Uthradam in the Malayalam calendar, while the grand Temple
Festival takes place on Medom 10th. A special Kalamezhuthu Pattu ritual is
performed in honour of the Nagadevatas on this auspicious day each year.
