Ammanezhathu Sree Bhavaneeswara Temple, located on Ammanezham Cross Road in Aroor gram panchayat, Kochi, Kerala, holds historical and social significance. Deeply connected to the temple entry movement and the teachings of Sree Narayana Guru, the temple stands as a symbol of the fight for social equality. Mahatma Gandhi met with Sree Narayana Guru at this temple to discuss the temple entry proclamation and their involvement in the Vaikom Satyagraha, highlighting its role in shaping history. Today, the temple continues to inspire generations, emphasizing the values of inclusivity and unity. Approximately 40 years old, the temple serves around 384 families and more is administered by the Devaswom Board as part of the SNDP.
