This temple is located in Sree Narayana Nagar, Manjummal, Ernakulam district, and has a profound historical significance. It was established by the Ezhava community of Manjummal as a response to the untouchability and temple entry restrictions that prevailed nearly a century ago. Their vision was to create a place of worship dedicated to Lord Subrahmanya, where the community could freely practice their faith and hold social gatherings. To realize this goal, they acquired 40 cents of land near the current temple site and constructed a Subrahmanya temple along with an office. However, the temple was later destroyed in a fire, preventing the continuation of rituals. Despite
more this setback, the office building remained a hub for political, social, and cultural activities. Forty-three years ago, the present temple land was purchased, and in 1966, the Subrahmanya temple was rebuilt. Further renovations and additions took place in 2001, followed by the construction of the Gajamandapam in 2007.
