Urumbikkavu Devi Temple, located in Ramapuram, is the only Bhadrakali temple among the Nalambalam temples. Positioned in Kottayam District, it lies about 20 km from Palai on the Ramapuram Koothattukulam Road. The temple's idol is crafted from Darubimbam (sacred wood). In the past, the temple was nestled deep within dense forests. Today, Janmanakshathra trees are widely planted around the premises, adding to its serene ambience. Approximately 100 meters from this divine site stands the temple of Lord Bharatha Swami. Urumbikkavu Devi Temple is known for its unique and rare offerings, including Chanthattam a distinctive ritual believed to yield great blessings along with Irattippayasam, Sarppanivedyam, and Pooram Idi. more Devi idol is intricately carved from Varikkaplavu wood (jackfruit wood), which enhances the significance of the Chanthattam ritual. The temple's annual festivals include Meenappooram, Kanni Ayilyam, and Navarathri, drawing devotees from far and wide to seek the goddess's divine blessings.
