Karingattukavu Devi Temple,
located in Prayar village, Chengannur taluk, Kerala, is a unique and revered
place of worship. Situated on the banks of the sacred Pampa River, the temple
is dedicated to Goddess Durga and Bhadrakali, making it one of the few temples
in Kerala where both deities are worshipped together. The temple’s annual
festival, celebrated during the Malayalam month of Meenam (March–April), is a
grand event that draws devotees from far and wide. The most significant day of
the festival is Karthika, marked by special rituals and festivities in honour of
the goddesses.
