This ancient temple with more than 1000 years of history is in the seaside village of Muzhuppilangadu of Kannur district. It is on the Thalassery - Kannur highway, about 5km away from Thalassery. Sree Kurumba Bhagavathy is the main deity with Elayidath Bhagavathy, Moothedath Bhagavathy, Dwarapalakas Dandan and Kandakarnnan as sub-deities. The Thalappoli of this temple is one of the most important festivals of North Malabar.
