This temple is at Arayakandippara, Azhikode, in Kannur district. Sreekrishna is the presiding deity. The idol of Lord Krishna was damaged during the invasion by the army under Tippu Sultan. The idol was split into two by the sword. But the same idol is still consecrated here. The two pieces are held together with a belt. The temple is more than 300 years old. There is a trust under Varassala Illam to manage the affairs of the temple. Shasthavu, Ganapathy and Nagangal are the subordinate deities. The annual festival is in Makaram. Ashtamirohini is also celebrated here.
