Located in Karumadi, Alappuzha
district, Kerala, Kamapuraththukavu Shankara Narayana Temple is dedicated to
Lord Shankaranarayana, the unified form of Siva and Vishnu. The main deity,
facing east, is revered for its divine presence. Historically, the temple was
once under the ownership of the Ambalapuzha king, who later entrusted it to
four karas (villages).
