Kuttamassery Sree Krishna Swamy Temple

History

Situated at Kuttamassery on the Aluva–Perumbavoor route, the Kuttamassery Sree Krishna Temple is believed to be approximately 600 years old. Originally under the care of the Kuttamassery Mana, the temple's management was transferred to a trust comprising local devotees and Mana representatives in 1982. The temple's principal deity is Lord Narasimhamoorthy in his fierce form. However, the presence of Lord Vishnu as Unnikrishna is also revered here, making the offering of butter placed in the deity's hand a significant ritual. Lord Mahadevan is also consecrated and worshipped with equal importance. The temple's subordinate deities include Lord Ganapathy, Lord Shastha, Goddess Bhadrakali, Goddess Bhuvaneshwari, Nagas, and Brahmarakshas, each adding more to the spiritual significance of this sacred site.
