Located in Kunnupuram, Aluva, the Kattilekkavu Devi Temple is an ancient and revered place of worship. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Karthyayani, who, according to legend, was searching for her son, Subrahmanya, after he vanished following a dispute with his father, Lord Siva. She sensed his presence at this location and chose to remain there. Over time, the temple fell into disrepair, with the idol sustaining significant damage. In 1975, a committee of local devotees took the initiative to restore the temple. The reconsecration of the Goddess was completed in 1980, reviving the spiritual significance of the site.
