Thengodu Valliyath Khandakarna
Temple, located in Thengodu near Kakkanad in Ernakulam district, was originally
a family temple until 1997. Following astrological consultations, it was taken
over by a trust formed by the local community. Reconstruction began in 1999,
during which the deity was temporarily relocated to the balalaya. After
reconsecration, daily poojas have been conducted, and the temple has since
gained popularity among devotees. Devotees contributed the Gopuram and flag post as offerings. Special rituals include Shivarchana Deeparadhana every
Saturday, Guruthy, and Guruthy Pushpanjali every Friday.
