Thrikkovil Sree Krishna temple is located at Edappally in Ernakulam, on the Changapuzha Park Road. Sree Krishna is the main deity. It is believed that originally it was Siva who was worshipped here. The round sreekovil (sanctum) faces the west. Ayyappan, and Subrahmanian are the Upadevatas, sub deities. The temple has a chuttambalam, namaskara mandapam and dwajasthambham. There is a legend behind the construction of this temple. The Edappally swaroopam, the rulers of the land, joined the Samoothiri of Kozhikodu and fought against the Cochin king. They lost the battle and the Cochin king denied entry for the members of the Edappally swaroopam in the Ernakulam
more Siva temple. So, this temple was constructed by the rulers of Edappally. The local NSS Karayogam manages the temple now.
