This temple is locally known as Nedumpura
temple. It is to the west of Cheruthuruthy in Thrissur district. It is one of
the famous 108 Siva temples in Kerala. Lord Siva is the main deity facing east.
The sanctum is built in the Gajaprustha style. Three sides are square and the
fourth is like the posterior of an elephant. The sanctum is double storied and the
roof is paved with copper. The temple is famous for its beautiful structures
carved in wood. To the north of this is a Vishnu temple. The temple is
connected with the ancient Kulashekhara dynasty.
