Marampilly Temple is located in Palluruthy, in the Ernakulam district. Uniquely, while most temple deities (prathishtas) are traditionally positioned facing east, the deity at Marampilly Temple faces west, making it a rare example of distinctive temple architecture. Each year, on the first day of the temple festival, the temple authorities organize Annadanam the offering of Nivedyam (boiled rice) to devotees. This sacred meal is distributed to all attendees, regardless of their religion, origin, or beliefs. Thousands of people participate in this significant event, symbolizing unity and devotion.
