Lord Krishna consecrated as a
young boy at Thripoorath temple was brought to Kalleli mana about 500 years
ago. Legend says that the ancestors of the Kalleli mana came from Panniyoor
village presided over by Sree Varahamoorthy. One belief is that the Sree
Krishna was worshipped as the family deity by the people of Kalleli mana.
Another belief is that it was an idol from the Vishnu temple standing close to
Thiruvarappetty temple. There was a Siva temple there in ancient times. Hence
Lord Siva is also consecrated here with equal importance.
