A family named Chirappuram was at Nandiikulangara Desham in Paravoor of Ernakulam District. At one time there were no children born in the family. The head of the family then started worshipping Goddess Durga in the courtyard of the house to get blessings for progeny in the family. During that time the head of the family visited Chakkamparambu temple at Mala of Thrissur district. He prayed to the goddess Bhadrakali fervently, brought her effulgence to his house, and consecrated the goddess there. The family was blessed with children after that. Both goddesses were consecrated in separate Sancta of equal importance. Muthappan, Nruthakan, Rakshass, Brahmarakshass, Sundarayakshi,
more Chathan, Chamundi, Kappiri, Ghandakarnan, Panikkarachan, Ayyappan, Vigneswaran, Veerabhadran and Nagas were consecrated as subordinate deities. Flag posts for both the goddesses were erected in 2019.
