Payankal Bhagavathi Temple,
situated in Pallippuram in Kerala's Thrissur district, is dedicated to the
Goddess Bhagavathi (Devi). Located approximately 12 km from Thrissur town via
Ammadam, this temple is one of the key religious sites in Paralam Panchayath.
It holds the distinction of being the northernmost temple under the governance
of the Travancore Devaswom Board. The main festival Payangal Bharani (Bharani
Mahotsyavam) falls on Medam month Bharani. Within the temple compound stands a
massive mango tree, which locals say is over 100 years old.
