This ancient temple is at
Vellikulangara in Kozhikode district. Devotees see it as a place where devotion
spirituality and the goodness of man come together. The people here,
irrespective of caste or religion carry nostalgic memories of this temple. Devi
and Ayyappa are consecrated on the southern side of the temple. There is an
Ayyappa madom in front. Navarathri is celebrated with poojas and the initiation of
children into learning. Sivarathri also
is celebrated with due reverence. Many people undertake the pilgrimage to
Sabarimala from this temple. There is provision for conducting marriages as
well as rice-giving ceremonies.
