This ancient temple is at
Eloor in Ernakulam District. It is believed to have been built between 14th and
15th century A.D. It is a major temple under the Travancore Devaswom Board.
Lord Narayana with four hands is consecrated here. Legend says that Naranathu
Bhranthan, one of the sons of Vararuchi, consecrated the Lord here. He also
consecrated the idol at the famous Ambalapuzha temple. It is curious to note
that at both these temples one can see a Bhranthan, mentally deranged person,
even to this day. Devotees believe that if a cradle is offered in this temple,
couples without children will be blessed with progeny.
