This ancient temple is
believed to have been consecrated by Rishi Kanwa. It is situated at Feroke on
the western side of the Chaliyar River. It has the name Ceruvanoor from
Cheriyavan (Subrahmanyan) the presiding deity there. Ayyappa, Lakshmy
Narasimha, Ganapathy, and Siva are the subordinate deities. Navarathri is
celebrated with great fervour here.
